Bollywood Gossip: Model come actress Aarti Chhabria says that Manoj Bajpayee, who is performing her love interest in the forthcoming funny flick “Dus Tola”, was extremely encouraging while shooting the close scenes.
“Manojji has been in the industry for a long time and he knows very well how to make his co-stars comfortable. As we are playing lovers in the movie, the intimate scenes were essential. And during shoots I was looked after and put at ease by him, ” Aarti said.
“The age-gap between us didn’t matter. We are actors and that is the real challenge in our field, to bring out the chemistry when the audience doesn’t expect it. But I must say, Manojji took utmost care of me and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable at any point.”
27 years old Aarti, made her first performance in “Lajja” (2001) and afterward performed a stupid rubbish girl in “Awara Pagal Deewana” (2002), a nightclub dancer in “Shootout At Lokhandwala” (2007) in addition to was finally watched in “Milenge Milenge” (2010).
She told that for her role in the movie she put on some kilos.
“My role of a village girl in the film demanded that I look plump and fuller for which I was on an official rice-diet. I have gained four to five kg for my look specially.”
Aarti declares she makes mindful struggle not to be stereotype.
“If you look back at my work, you would find variety and not similarity in my work. It is my conscious decision to try different roles and challenge myself. I want to do meaningful cinema, but don’t want to be typecast as off-beat actress. I am on the lookout for such scripts.”
